Product Selector

Filter the instrument before the catalog becomes noise

The selector is written for engineers who already know the process variable but need a defensible path to SKU selection. Work through range, media, accuracy, output, approval region, and calibration evidence. The result is a shortlist that can be discussed with maintenance, quality, and procurement without inventing requirements after the quote is issued.

01

Variable and range

Define pressure, flow, level, temperature, or sensor state with normal and upset conditions. Range should include the expected operating band and the maximum limit the device may see.

02

Accuracy class

State a target such as +/-0.1% of span, +/-0.5% of reading, or the metering class required by the process. Avoid vague "high accuracy" wording.

03

Media and connection

List wetted materials, process temperature, connection type, washdown exposure, and whether a diaphragm seal or hygienic fitting is needed.

04

Signal and diagnostics

Confirm 4-20 mA, HART, IO-Link, switching logic, PNP/NPN, scan time, and whether diagnostic messages must be visible to the control system.

05

Approval region

Capture CE, UKCA, FCC, ATEX, IECEx, MID, OIML, NTEP, or plant-specific requirements before the instrument is ordered.

06

Calibration evidence

Decide whether ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration, NIST-traceable references, uncertainty statements, and interval planning are required for release.

A selector answer is not final until the instrument can be installed, commissioned, serviced, and audited. Use the request form when a row needs review by a technical specialist.

Send your six selector inputs.

Include variable, range, media, signal, approval region, and calibration requirement. A short fit review can prevent an expensive replacement cycle.
